Best Cat in the World

It is with sadness in my heart and tears in my eyes that I write this post. Our sweet friend Puddy passed away today. The house feels empty without him and I keep expecting to see him curled up on our bed. He has been part of our family for over 16 years and for those of you who knew Puddy, you know how special he was to us. He was the perfect cat. He was gentle, affectionate, extremely patient, and just so easy to love. We are going to miss him very much. 

R.I.P. Puddy, we love you.

A Hamburger Tree

This evening I asked Dave to watch Miss P while I prepped dinner and this is what happened...

Husband: "Miss P, do you want to go pick strawberries from the garden?
Miss P: "Yes!"
Husband: "Okay, hold on, daddy has to go get his shoes.." [and in a whisper] "and get some strawberries from the refrigerator."
Me: "What's going on?"
Husband: "Miss P won't eat regular strawberries anymore unless she picks them from the garden, so I take the strawberries from the fridge, plant them in the garden and then she eats the shit out of them!"
Me: "Really?"
Husband: " Yeah, she has been doing this for days."
Me: " Maybe we should plant other stuff in the garden so she will eat that too."
Husband: "Yeah, like a hamburger tree."
